EKA featured in Energi & Miljö for sustainable cooling work in Big Science

As Big Science facilities work to reduce the use of F-gases and meet future environmental regulations, sustainable cooling technologies are becoming an increasingly important topic for both research facilities and industry.

The topic will also be discussed at the upcoming workshop Sustainable Cooling for Big Science at GSI/FAIR.

Energi & Miljö

Interesting article in Energi & Miljö about Swedish company EKA, a member of the Big Science Sweden supplier network, and its work supporting CERN in the transition away from F-gases in large-scale cooling systems. CERN operates around 200 cooling systems, many using F-gases, and EKA has helped evaluate more sustainable alternatives such as CO2 and propane.
