CERN visits Lund to explore new opportunities for collaboration

CERN visited Lund for an intensive two-day programme featuring meetings, site tours, and discussions on future collaboration. The dialogue focused on how Swedish companies, researchers, and innovation stakeholders can contribute to, and benefit from, the advanced technological development taking place at CERN.

Han Hubert Dols, Innovation Network Lead at CERN, explains how to accelerate innovation during a meeting at Ideon Science Park.

The Swedish hosts

Big Science Sweden, together with Ideon Science Park, hosted the visit, which included meetings with Ericsson, Alfa Laval, Lund University, Medicon Village, Region Skåne, the City of Lund, the Swedish Research Council, Vinnova, MAX IV, and ESS.

CERN Innovation Network

The purpose of the visit was to explore new opportunities within the CERN Innovation Network, an initiative designed to enhance knowledge transfer, technological development, and innovation between CERN and industry in its member states, including Sweden.

The discussions clearly demonstrated the strong potential that arises when industry, academia, and Big Science infrastructures come together around common goals.

Thank you to all

Big Science Sweden extends its thanks to all participants for two inspiring and forward-looking days.
