Sweden is stepping up to play a stronger role in the rapidly evolving fusion and fission landscape. As Fusion for Energy (F4E) expands its scope and new industrial needs arise, there are growing opportunities for Swedish companies and research institutes to contribute.

Fusion and fission face many shared technical challenges, particularly in developing materials and components that can withstand extreme conditions. These commonalities create clear synergies — and open the door for Sweden’s strengths in materials science, advanced manufacturing, and engineering to make a real impact.

A joint effort to strengthen the Swedish ecosystem by bridging fusion and fission.

This half-day seminar will highlight upcoming opportunities, address shared challenges, and encourage collaboration to build a strong Swedish ecosystem bridging fusion and fission.

Who will be participating?

We invite industry, SMEs, research institutes, and policymakers to take part in an interactive online half-day seminar where key players will share their needs, challenges, and visions for the future.

Programme

Moderator: Max Collins, Industrial Liaison Officer (ILO) for F4E/ITER at Big Science Sweden.
