An APPLE II undulator to be manufactured, assembled, tested at the work site,
delivered, and tested at the MAX IV site. The undulator shall have four sub-girders
movable to achieve full polarization control in helical mode, linear inclined mode,
and the so-called universal mode, which combines the helical and linear inclined
modes by using the four sub-girders for phase control, see reference design in
Section 4.1. Two Corrector magnets, each corrector magnet has correction coils for both transverse planes.
The completely assembled APPLE II undulator shall be CE-labeled.
Conceptual Design Report (CDR) containing at least, but not limited to:
Design of the APPLE II undulator magnetic system.
Design of the mechanical frame, mechanical tolerances, and deformation under
load.
Design of the motion control system, motor drivers, encoders, and limit
switches.
Design of corrector magnets.
