The camera must fulfill the following technical specifications:
• The dynamic range of the CMOS image sensor must be 12 bit monochrome or larger.
• The CMOS image sensor must have a maximum resolution of at least 1024 x 1024 pixels.
Individual pixel size must be 25 x 25 μm2
• or smaller.
• It must be possible to capture images on a smaller, user-specified region of interest.
• The maximum quantum efficiency in the optical regime must be at least 70%.
The maximum frame rate must be at least 10 000 frames per second with a resolution of 1024
x 1024 pixels, 50 000 frames per second with 512 x 512 pixels, and 100 000 frames per second
with 256 x 256 pixels. Additionally, it must be possible to acquire at least 1 000 000 frames per
second with the smallest resolution of the camera.

The internal recording memory must be sufficient to save at least 75 000 frames with a
resolution of 1024 x 1024 pixels, 300 000 frames with 512 x 512 pixels, and 1 200 000 frames
with 256 x 256 pixels.

It is preferable if the camera is equipped with a removable solid state drive for increased
recording memory. The bidder may offer this as an additional option.
•
• The camera must allow data transfer to external storage via a connection of 10 Gbit or faster.
The camera must allow external trigger input for start of image acquisition. TTL signal level is
preferred.
•
The delivery must include software for controlling the camera, saving data, and viewing
acquired images.
•
The camera system must include a means of communicating with it through an Application
Programmable Interface (API) or Software Development Kit (SDK). Linux support is preferred.
Documentation for the API or SDK should be provided in the offer.
•
The camera system must store data in a commonly used file format and the applicable file
format must be documented. It is preferable if the data can be saved in uncompressed and
compressed HDF5 file format.
