Supply of five hexapods for the Paranal Observatory / PR132393-FRI

Call for tender (CFT) covering the supply of five new hexapods for the Auxiliary Telescopes (ATs) for the Paranal Observatory. The CFT is scheduled to be issued in Q1/2026 to potential suppliers in the ESO Member States and Australia. The scope of work includes the development, manufacturing, integration, and testing of high-performance hexapod systems, intended for precision mirror positioning, emulating the capabilities and specifications of the Auxiliary Telescope's (AT) M2 hexapod. The contractor shall deliver five fully functional hexapod units, along with all necessary electronic controls, software interfaces, documentation, and supporting equipment. The contract is expected to be awarded in Q2/2026, to the Bidder, which has submitted a fully compliant Tender and offers the best value for money for ESO taking into account the quality and price of the offer.
