Supply of Edge Sensor Cable Support Plates

The ES Cables Supports shall be manufactured and assembled in accordance to AD1, AD2, AD3, AD4 and AD5. The material for the plates (AD1 and AD2) shall be stainless steel EN 1.4301/AISI304 (Other materials subject to approval by ESO). The material for the captive bolts (AD5) shall be stainless steel A2. The material for the rivets shall be stainless steel A2. The plates thickness (AD1 and AD2) shall be 2.5mm. No coating or surface finish shall be applied. Parts shall be clean and dry. The items to be procured are: - 2800 units of “Support for ES Sensing Head Cables Type #1” (AD3) - 2800 units of “Support for ES Sensing Head Cables Type #2” (AD4) In order to procure the previous items, the following steps have to be fulfilled: - Manufacturing of 2800 units of AD1 - Manufacturing of 2800 units of AD2 - Assembly of AD3, including SKL clamps with rivets and captive screws (AD5) plus washers. Assembly of AD4, including SKL clamps with rivets and captive screws (AD5) plus washers. SKL clamps will be provided by ESO before starting the assembly. All grease and debris shall be removed. All units shall be cleaned in ultrasonic bath with de-ionised water and mild detergent, to make them suitable for vacuum environment. A final bath in de-ionised water shall be given to assure removal of detergent. Dry parts in hot air until fully dry. Each unit shall be bagged and sealed immediately after cleaning, into polyethylene bags to keep cleanliness conditions, according to 4.4.
