Within the framework of the BA, F4E must supply the actively-cooled divertor (ACD) of JT-60SA (hereafter referred to as the “divertor”). This divertor consists of 36 almost identical units and is located at the bottom of the vacuum vessel of JT-60SA (Figure 1). Each divertor unit has vertical targets, dome, baffles and cover plates, all installed on a stainless steel cassette frame. The targets, dome, baffles and cover plates are collectively referred to as Plasma Facing Components (PFCs). The PFCs are exposed to the heat flux fromthe plasma, which is then transferred to the cooling water flowing in pipes running underneath theirsurface. The supply consist of 38 identical cassette frame assemblies. Each cassette frame assembly consists of these components: 1. Fabricated stainless steel structure 2. Main water inlet pipe 3. Main water distribution pipe 4. Main water outlet pipe 5. 2 x machined tee junctions with bellows
