Supply of a water-cooled chiller for Paranal Observatory/PR106112-SVI

Call for tender (CFT) covering the supply, installation and commissioning of a water-cooled chiller at the Paranal Observatory, at ca. 2,600 meters above sea level. The new chiller shall have a cooling power capacity of 900 kW and be installed in the existing chillers plant. It will be part of the cooling system which is critical for the operation of the Observatory, and is expected to work continuously for 25 years. The CFT is scheduled to be issued in Q1/2025 to potential suppliers in the ESO Member States, Chile and Australia. The contract is expected to be awarded in Q2/2025, to the Bidder, which has submitted a fully compliant Tender and offers the best value for money for ESO taking into account the quality and price of the offer.
