Supply of a 35-tonne hydraulic suspension semitrailer for the ELT Observatory/FCFT-PR127149-APO

Call for tender (CFT) covering the supply of a semitrailer for the ELT Observatory, located at Armazones site, 120 Km South of Antofagasta city, in the Antofagasta Region, Chile. The CFT is scheduled to be issued in Q3/2025 to potential suppliers in the ESO Member States and Chile. The scope of work includes the supply and delivery of a hydraulic suspension semitrailer with the following specifications: a. the load capacity shall be 35 tonnes as a minimum; b. the dimensions of the flat load platform in its retracted configuration shall be 9 m x 2.55 m (l x w) as a minimum; c. the load platform shall be compatible with ISO TC20 and TC40 containers and include twist lock welded to the chassis; d. it shall be possible to hydraulically adjust the height of the loading platform from 800mm to 1100mm; e. the semi-trailer shall comply with the maximum load per axes allowed on the Chile highways. The contract is expected to be awarded in Q3/2025, to the Bidder, which has submitted a fully compliant Tender and offers the best value for money for ESO, taking into account the quality and price of the offer.
