Key requirements: - Single quadrupole MS detector (with specs tbd next week) - twin line injection into two permanently mounted columns - easy switchable EI/CI modes without manual exchange of ion source - inert GC/MS flow path - can use N2 as carrier gas and achieve equivalent sensitivity to He - method translator for converting analysis conditions between different gases - Autoinjector for liquid samples with autosampler for 150 samples - Vacuum oil pump (due to lab space limitations) - Upgrade option with a direct injection module to MS including additional pump - Software for multicomponent analysis including automated calibration and Automatic Adjustment of Retention Time - NIST library of compounds for identification - Must fit on the lab bench in D04 lab number D04.110.2027: max depth = 550mm; max height of main instrument + autosampler with vials in place = 625 mm - local technical and application support in Sweden has to be offered! Please note that this is not just a standard GC-MS but for a particular application and also restricted by the lab space we are able to put it in at ESS.
