Repolishing of Elliptical Mirror for ID24 Beamline

Repolishing of an existing Silicon mirror with concave elliptical cylinder figure. Overall dimensions 1000 mm x 130 mm x 93 mm (LxWxH) Aperture 900 mm x 56 mm. Existing elliptical construction parameters p = 31 m, q = 1.5 m, theta = 3 mrad. Current meridional slope errors of < 1.5 µrad rms must be improved to < 0.1 µrad rms whilst preserving the existing microroughness of 0.2 nm rms. The repolished mirror will require recoating to provide independent Pt and Rh reflective stripes.
