Type

Tender

Research Facility

FAIR

A call for tender @ FAIR site is foreseen soon and covers the manufacture, vacuum testing and delivery of ~ 50 UHV chambers (so-called dipole interconnection tees (DIT)) (=DN160CF flanges) and ~50 support frames (operated below 20K; made of austenitic stainless steel grade 1.4301,) which will be used in the cryogenic beam vacuum system of the future SIS100 heavy ion synchrotron at FAIR (Darmstadt). The “to be tendered” vacuum chambers will form the beam line connection between two adjacent vacuum chambers of the superconducting dipole modules in the SIS100. In the approximately 50 cm long tubes, residual gas pressures in the lower UHV/upper XHV are generated at usual operating temperatures between 5...15K (-268°C ...-258°C). During the curse of this week the tender will be advertised (online) as open tender and you will be informed with further details like always.
