This supply foresees the qualification, production and delivery of 24 Flowmeters, with extension cables and transmitters/electronic units. The IVC Flowmeter is an ultrasonic mass flow sensor, clamped on ITER’s cooling water pipes and used for the online measurement of the In-Vessel Coils’ cooling water flow velocity (range 0 – 10 m/s and water temperature up to 240°C at 40-44 bar). The IVC Flowmeters are installed in the ITER Tokamak Building, where ionizing radiation is present, and no planned preventive maintenance is foreseen. To be noted that transmitters/electronic units will be installed in the ITER Diagnostic Building where no ionizing radiation is present.
