PDS Filters PQ Synopsis

This PQ comprises a total of about 70 color filters and 30 neutral density filters, unmounted, all with a circular shape. For each filter element, listed in AD1, the Contractor shall perform the following activities: • Procurement and test of blanks • Manufacturing of the individual filters. • Coating’s design and deposit, test, include a test report and coating witness samples. • The filters should have indication the light direction on the side (with the explanation in a report) • Acceptance tests (spectral transmission and wavefront error between 450nm-2350nm measurement reports, inspection reports). • Cleaning procedure, and indications for storage conditions. • Packaging and shipping to ESO Headquarters in Garching-Germany.
