CERN has been procuring on average 500 desktops, 500 laptops and 1000 monitors per year through classic purchase orders with an annual turnover of roughly 1.2 Million Swiss francs. CERN intends to switch these orders to a punchout catalogue. • Monitors shall be used to display graphics from different operating system such as Linux, Windows, and macOS over Display Port and HDMI protocols. • Desktops and Laptops shall be certified to run Microsoft Windows 11 Professional. • Accessories such as keyboards, mouses, power and video cables, memories, drives, webcams, and laptops bags. 2.2 Deliverables and Activities The Supply shall include the following deliverables and activities: • Contract implementation services including the integration of a Contractor catalogue using a punchout mechanism for the ordering process (the “Punchout”); • Management and operation of the Punchout; • Computing devices (the “Items”) such as: o Desktops and laptops equipped with Microsoft Windows 11 Pro preinstalled plus Microsoft Windows 11 Pro license stored in ACPI tables; o Monitors certified to display graphics from Operating Systems such as Linux, Windows, and macOS over Display Port and HDMI protocols;
Accessories such as keyboards, mouses, power and video cables, memories, drives, webcams, and laptops bags. • Documentation: certification, design, technical data sheets; • Packing of the Supply; • Shipping to CERN Meyrin (CH) or Prévessin (FR) according to CERN’s instructions; • Centralized order processing and billing; • Warranty, including return policy; • Reporting.
