MS-4776/IT - Supply of Servers and Storage for Physics Data Processing, Acquisition and Control systems

CERN intends to place several Contracts for the supply of an estimated quantity of 2’000 Servers and 100PB of Storage Expansion Units for physics data processing, acquisition and control systems. Servers shall be based on the x86 architecture with 64-bit extensions (e.g. Intel Xeon with Intel64, AMD EPYC with AMD64) or any successor of these architectures. A server is a computing unit based on a single mainboard.
