Manufacture and Trialling of Ex-Vessel Optic Fibre Test Piece and Manufacture of 2 Ex-Vessel Full Length Fibre Optic Bundles

The IO plans to establish a contract to: 1). produce a 50cm length, full diameter optic fibre test bundle routed inside a stainless steel bellow tube with stainless steel ferrules attached to each end, which will be tested by IO to prove the full lengths fitness for installation onto the port plug and environment conditions during Tokamak plasma and baking operations; and then 2). produce and deliver to the IO site 2 optic fibre bundles, 8.74m and 7.73m long each 15mm diameter with bespoke ferrules attached to each end and routed inside bellow tubes compliant with the technical specifications.
