Machining of standard mechanical parts

Call for Tender (CFT) covering build-to-print manufacturing and machining of mechanical parts. The CFT is scheduled to be issued in Q4/2022 to companies in the ESO Member States. The scope of work includes manufacturing and machining of mechanical parts according to ESO 2D drawings, 3D CAD data and ESO specifications, and their agreed upon on-time delivery to ESO Headquarters in Garching (near Munich), Germany. The contractor(s) shall be capable to provide standard and precision machining processes such as milling (3-axis and 5-axis), turning and cutting to be applied on typical construction materials such as aluminium alloys, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, plastics and epoxies. Special materials such as Invar, Molybdenum (TZM) and ceramics are not excluded. Main requirements on contractor(s) (minimum): · CAD/CAM systems; · ISO 9001:2015 certified; · 15 machines 3-axis CNC-milling; · 7 machines 5-axis CNC-milling; · 15 machines CNC-turning; · 1 Flat grinding machine; and · Stock of raw materials. The multiple suppliers frame contracts are expected to be awarded in Q4/2022, for a firm period of three years (frame contracts start date Q1/2023), to two Bidders, which have submitted fully compliant Tenders and offer the lowest prices.
