The Procurement of the ITER VV lower penetration pipes and supports consists in the manufacturing and welding assembly of several pipes, flanges and bellows, which are located at ITER TOKAMAK lower port area. The IO is responsible for providing to the Supplier the Design of the System. The present Technical Specification is refined down to a level where the design is justified by supporting analyses. Thereafter the Supplier takes over responsibility for the Manufacturing Design. The Supplier is responsible for completing the design according to the ITER Manufacturing Readiness Review guidelines and for delivering a product which is compliant with the Final Design and related Baseline documents, as well as for demonstrating that it fulfils the acceptance criteria.
