Call for Tender (CFT) for the provision of software testing services for the ALMA dataflow software. The scope of the service contract is the software testing of science operations dataflow applications for the ESO ALMA Observatory. Specifically, it is for dataflow applications related to Program Preparation, Program Selection, Observation Preparation, Operations Support and Science Archive. The contract will follow an agile software development method with roughly one to two months iteration cycles. At the end of each cycle, the testing service for the next cycle will be agreed. The scope of this service contract includes testing Java and web-based applications for the ALMA dataflow system. Please see the Synopsis for more details. The contract will have an initial duration of three years after an initial phase-in period, with an option to extend by up to two years. The indicative estimated effort is about 3 FTEs (Full Time Equivalent) per year, with an option for one additional FTE. The contract will start in October 2025 with a 3-month phase-in followed by the operational 3-year period starting in January 2026. The contract will be awarded to the Bidder, which has submitted a fully compliant Tender and offers the best value for money for ESO taking into account the quality and price of the offer.
