DO-32588/EN/STI/BDF – Supply of Post Irradiation Examination of the BDF Target Prototype

This Technical Specification concerns the supply of Post Irradiation Examination (PIE) of six radioactive target blocks of the Beam Dump Facility (BDF) Target Prototype irradiated in the North Area at CERN. The scope of the current price enquiry includes reception and handling of the target blocks, film dosimetry, metrology and optical microscopy, non-destructive testing, specimens extraction by Electric Discharge Machining (EDM), microstructural characterization, mechanical characterization, thermophysical characterization and reporting. The activities are foreseen to be completed within 12 months from notification of the Contract.
