DO-32559/TE – Supply and installation of a Combined Beam Delivery and 15 m Optical Fibre System

This Technical Specification concerns the supply and installation of a customized beam delivery system (BDS) that combines a 15 m long optical fiber and an optical assembly that reliably couples the light from an existing high-power picosecond laser into the fiber. The BDS allows light transmission towards an existing robot. A mechanical and optical assembly (plug-in module), that is fixed to the fiber output, is required to guide the light into the robot with define beam quality. The delivery is expected to take place after 20 weeks from notification of the Contract. The contract will be performed on the French side of the CERN site.
