The LHCb Upstream Tracker (UT) is a silicon detector that is composed of four vertical parallel detection planes which are cooled by liquid CO2 at -35 °C. The four planes are mechanically split in two volumes named as Aside and C-side. The A-side and C-side of the UT detector are housed and supported by a lighttight and gas-tight CFRP sandwich box (hereinafter referred to as UT box). The placement of the contract is expected to be awarded in August 2019. Delivery is foreseen over 10 weeks from placement of the contract.
