CFT 281 Supply of a Handling Tool for the ELT M2/M3 mirrors

Call for tender (CFT) covering the supply of a tool to handle individually the ELT M2 and M3 mirrors. The size of these M2 and M3 mirrors is 4.25 and 4 meters respectively and their weight is 3500kg each. The scope of work includes the manufacture according to the design and detailed drawings provided by ESO, the verification and the certification of this mirror handling tool. The CFT is scheduled to be issued in Q2/2021 to potential suppliers in the ESO Member States and Chile. The contract is expected to be awarded in Q3/2021 to the Bidder, which has submitted a fully compliant Tender and offers the best value for money for ESO taking into account the quality and price of the offer. 2nd Qtr. 2021
