CFT 280 Supply of a chiller at the Paranal Observatory

Request for information (RFI) to investigate the technological solutions available on the market and identify companies that are interested in and capable of supplying and installing a new chiller system at Paranal Observatory, 130 kms south of Antofagasta, Atacama Region. The RFI will be released in Q2/2021 to potential suppliers in the ESO Member States and in Chile. Based on the outcome, ESO plans to issue the Call for tender in Q3/2021. The scope of this procurement consists in the supply of a new chiller system with a cooling power of 900 kW on a high load scenario and 200 kW on a low load scenario. This new system shall be installed on the chillers plant existing at Paranal Observatory, at ca. 2,5000 masl. The contract is expected to be awarded in Q3/2021 to the Bidder which has submitted a fully compliant Tender and offers the lowest price.
