CFT-003073 (ID03-EBSL2 | GONIOMETER )

For the ID03-EBSL2, ESRF requires a goniometer to conform simultaneously to specifications for diffraction experiments and microscopy experiments. This goniometer will be optimized for a vertical scattering plane and will operate in air at a regulated temperature of 22°C at the atmospheric pressure. The goniometer shall be able to move a 5 kg sample with a very high precision motorized mechanics. The mechanics consist of X, Y and Z translations to within resolutions and repeatability of 0.1µm or better, and rotations around X, Y and Z to within a resolution and repeatability of 0.1 mrad. The rotation around Z will be used during scans and should be an air-bearing stage. These mechanics must have a very high stability to avoid vibrations and long term positional drift.
