CFT-003058 (ID15A High resolution sample stage)

This call for tender concerns the design, manufacture and supply of a high-resolution sample stage assembly for high-speed high spatial resolution diffraction imaging/tomography for the ID15A-EH3 experimental station. During the data acquisition, which can last several hours, the sample is simultaneously continuously rotated and translated across the beam. A sample positioning accuracy of ~100nm over a translation range of ~1 mm and a rotation of 360 degree is required with samples weighing ~200 g. The sample stage shall consist of: an air bearing rotation stage (Rz) with maximum rotation speed of ~5 rpm; an air bearing translation stage (Ty); a vertical translation stage (Tz); a tilt stage (Ry); electrical slip rings for passing current through the rotary stage to the sample cell. A 4 small axis translation (Tx2 & Ty2) and tilt stage (Rx2 & Ry2) for sample pre-alignment should be mounted on top of the rotation stage. The motion of the Rz and Ty stages must be synchronized.
