Hard X-ray nano-tomography has the potential to revolutionize 3D imaging of biological tissues with particular impact in neurosciences. To leverage the ESRF-EBS capabilities in the context of the ERC Brilliance project, aiming to resolve neuronal circuits in large tissue volumes, a large sensor camera is required on ID16A beamline for rapid, high resolution, large field of view, indirect X-ray imaging. The camera should integrate a scientific grade sensor of minimum 40 mm x 40 mm, with at least 16 M pixels, a full well capacity above 65 000 e-, a full resolution frame rate of minimum 20 fps and low read noise. Following the receipt of the offers, the bidders shortlisted by the ESRF shall be able deliver the proposed camera for evaluation tests by the ESRF during a two-week period.
