ILL
Breathable air at the ILL occasionally exceeds the levels of carbon dioxide and ou vapour set by EN 12021.
The ILL is looking for a Iong-term solution guaranteeing the quality of the air breathed by its operators.
Several locations need to be supplied, some of them fixed, others on different areas ofits installations.
We estimate a need for two fixed breathable air units (for building ILL 21 and the waste and decontamination airlocks on Level D of the reactor building) and four mobile units.
The units must be able to supply 2 Mururoa-type suits with an air consumption of between 500 and
1000 litres per minute per suit - i.e. a maximum flow rate ofbetwecn 1000 litres and 2000 litres per minute.
- They must be capable of efficiently processing ou vapours, unpleasant tastes and odours, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, and ensure a water content below 160 mg/m3.
- The quality of the breathing air supplied must comply with EN 12021.
