The Service for Neutron Optics would like to purchase a new hot press furnace (h = 2m - w = 2m ;d=1m) for the production of mosaic crystals for neutron monochromators. We aim to produce large bent Si crystals using plastic deformation at high temperatures for the construction of new types of optics.
