The atomic absorption spectrometer must have the following characteristics: - Must be able to determine the amount of potassium (K) in environmental waters in a measuring range of 0.1 mg/l to 2 mg/l. - System comprising an automated turret with at least 4 lamps with automatic lamp selection and alignment Preferred option: Light source: hollow cathode lamp K (λ=766.5 nm) - Absorption cell: flame generated by combustion of an air/acetylene mixture (2500°C) - Automatic gas control and optimisation - Adjustment of burner head position - Aspiration of the sample to be analysed - Nebulisation of the sample - Fluid drainage system - Autosampler: (minimum) 50 x 20 ml vials - Data transfer to laboratory software (LIMS) - Windows 10 operating system Miscellaneous - Power supply required: > 230 V mains power supply - Carrier gas supply: Compressed air: laboratory’s 7 bar oil-free compressed air supply Acetylene: B50 cylinder, quality 2.6 - Ambient conditions: - Ambient temperature: + 5°C to + 50°C - Relative humidity: 20 to 80 % RH
