The European Spallation Source ERIC (called ESS), is a facility that services scientific community by providing neutrons for various experimental purposes. The facility requires various shielding to cater for a safe working environment. The Bunker’s Temporary Beamstops project carries the task of providing a standardised common design solution of an auxiliary shielding for instruments that will not have fully installed beamline for Beam on Target (BOT). The purpose of a beamstops is to reduce radiation level to safe levels in the experimental halls (D01 and D03 buildings) and guide hall (E02 building) to thus ensure a safe working environment. The scope of work of the service and supply of the Bunker’s Temporary Beamstops is to perform a production design, manufacturing, and delivery of concrete blocks. Three scenarios with various quantity of blocks wanted are presented when ESS publish the full documentation.
