[454] Bridge type Coordinate Measuring Machine with 5-axis measurement technology

The ESS Survey Alignment Metrology team is looking to procure a bridge type coordinate measuring machine (CMM) with 5-axis measurement technology. This covers the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning at the Metrology Laboratory at ESS (Lund , Sweden). Air bearing guide elements for all axis in conjunction with linear encoders ensure wear-free and precise operation. Active vibration damping with high quality granite and precise mechanic enable to achieve the requested accuracy. The full 5 axis motion of the motorized head will reduce the influence of dynamic effects on the results and enable through the 2 requested sensors to perform touch trigger, 2D and 3D scanning measurements. Future possibility to adapt a non-contact scanning measurement sensor is also requested. A metrology software to operate the machine and perform measurements and evaluations shall be fully compliant with ISO Geometrical Product Specification standards. Delivery shall also include a minimum of 4 days training for 4 ESS operators.
