The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) is a French company responsible for the operation of a 6 GeV, 840 m electron storage ring, hard X-ray sources and associated instruments. The ESRF booster has been built more than 30 years ago as injector of the first ESRF storage ring and it is still used to inject in the EBS. A project to reduce the equilibrium emittance and bunch length of the booster by exchanging 18 quadrupole magnets has been proposed. The 18 magnets are distributed in 3 families (6 quadrupoles per family) with different yoke lengths approximatively 500 mm, 550 mm and 575 mm. the exact lengths will be defined later. The overall dimensions of the quadrupole are maximum 685x450x450 mm3. The quadrupole magnets will be excited by coils mounted on the poles. These will be wound from solid conductor with central water-cooling hole. The magnets will be laminated. The purpose of this CFT is to provide 21 quadrupole magnets (18 magnets for the booster and 3 spare magnets).
