[3597] Purchase of a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR)

The experiments division is aiming to acquire a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer that allows quantification of gases that are produced during in situ and operando experiments. The instrument is to be used at the beamlines while recording X-ray data. It will be used at several beamlines, i.e. it needs to be portable. The required energy resolution is 0.5 cm-1 which allows quantification of substances with overlapping spectra (e.g. N2O and CO) as many experiments produce complex gas mixtures.
