23-22 IT - RENEWAL OF THE WI-FI INFRASTRUCTURE

The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) is about to entirely renew and upgrade its Wi-Fi infrastructure. The object of the call for tender and subsequent contract is the supply of Wi-Fi 6E Access Point and if necessary their installation on the ILL site. Those interventions to install the hardware can occur in office and general areas of the ILL as well as in regulated and restricted areas making it mandatory for the supplier or its subcontractor to be in accordance with French laws regarding labour in restricted areas (DATR, CEFRI). It is estimated – the ILL is still waiting for the results of the wifi surveys- that we will need between 150 and up to 250 Wi-Fi 6E Access Points and 2 Wi-Fi controllers in October at the latest.
