23-12 Gateway pumping pond ILL8

The pumping pond at ILL8 premise got a gateway for maintenance purpose and for daily inspection of the pond itself and pumps. Underneath that gateway, there is a protection net to prevent from falling objects into the fresh water coming from Drac River. That gateway is now out of age and it appears severe corrosion and damages onto the main frame, due to high moist ambiance. We would like to replace that walkway/gateway by new one as well as the net, but at lower altitude than the existing one. The main frame has to be made in steel profiles protected by hot-galvanized coating, assembly with galvanized bolts, the floor made with duckboard in polyester or equivalent and the handle rail in aluminium or any light but suitable material. The replacement of the gateway at site must be handle with particular care because the water of the pond cannot be empty due to the need of continuous fresh water for the cooling system of ILL, ESRF & CNRS. Therefore, the whole site work must be undertaken above water; taking care of none falling objects or trashes while the entire site job and observing high sense of safety for contractor employees. The provider will be responsible for the calculation & design of the new gateway (only dedicated for pedestrian, no heavy maintenance platform purposes) The service will include: - Calculation, design of the new gateway and protection net - Manufacture/supply of the gateway in factory - Dismantling of the hold protection net - Installation at site of the new gateway underneath the hold one. - Dismantling of the hold gateway - Installation of the new net underneath the new gateway - As build drawing submission at the end of the project
