Research Facility
ILL
The ILL is managing a nuclear reactor in order to provide the international scientific community the highest neutrons flux in the world.
During regular operation, operators need to store radioactive nuclear waste in dedicated and appropriated containers. Containers and waste are laying at the bottom of a pool filled with water to achieve the radiologic protection.
Due to operational constraint (containers are handled at distance via a robotic device) and the safety regulation, the manufacture of the containers need to meet the criteria requested in the specification.
The service will include:
Providing the ILL all the requested documentation prior starting (material certificate and equivalent assembly welding procedure and certificates).
Manufacturing the containers (including pickling and passivation process).
Completion of all the requested tests (Visual, dimensional, LPI and sealing test).
Shipment to the ILL.
