105176-2025 Distribution boxes – Quench Conditioning Boxes for SIS100

The QCBs are simple terminal boxes, connecting high voltage signals from the four main SIS100 superconducting circuits to the electronic units of the Quench Detection System (QDS). There is no active electronics inside and no power supply is required for operation of QCBs, but proper grounding. 440 QCB will be purchased and used to handle voltage and current from quenched magnets The dimensions of the QCB housing are Width x Height x Depth = 380 x 380 x 210 mm. The initial QCB design is based on the Rittal AX 1380.000 small cabinet model.  The QCB shall have an ingress protection of at least IP53.
