Erik Olssons Mekaniska

Erik Olssons Mekaniska processes a wide range of materials, including copper and various alloys, with a strong emphasis on milling rather than turning. Today, the company can mill components up to eight metres in length and will soon expand its capacity to 12 metres, complemented by laser-based measurement equipment to ensure high precision.

The business is part of MPO Industrier, together with Osby Mekaniska and Höganäs Verkstad, with a combined turnover of approximately SEK 250 million. Its customer base is both broad and prestigious, with deliveries to facilities such as MAX IV, the Paul Scherrer Institute, Diamond Light Source and DESY.

The company has also played an important role in supplying magnet assemblies for Scanditronix to accelerator facilities. In addition to Big Science customers, Erik Olssons Mekaniska also works with companies such as GE Healthcare.
