Phase A study for data management practices at ESO - PR131782-ADI

Consultancy services related to data management practices at ESO: Request for Information (RFI) to solicit comprehensive information from qualified vendors regarding their expertise and methodologies for conducting what could be termed as a Phase A Study into Data Management practices at ESO. It is envisioned that this study will be a short-term, approximately 6 months, examination of ESO's current data management practices, with a specific focus on product data. The primary objectives of this initiative are to: • critically assess our existing data management landscape, • create a proposal for an ESO-wide strategy for digital data management and systems landscape including the introduction of a PLM system. • propose a clear data governance framework and its organisation-wide implementation. • create a comprehensive roadmap and project proposal, including a schedule, budget, and return on investment (RoI), for the implementation of a system and associated processes for managing product data at ESO. The insights and recommendations gathered through this RFI will directly contribute to the development of a subsequent Call for tender for the required consultancy services. The RFI will be released in Q3/2025 to potential suppliers in the ESO Member States. Based on the outcome, ESO plans to issue the Call for tender in Q4/2025. The contract is expected to be awarded in Q1/2026 to the Bidder, which has submitted a fully compliant Tender and offers the best value for money for ESO considering the quality and price of the offer.
