Motorised positioning stage units for transfocators

Supply of design, manufacture, assembly, test and delivery of six precision positioning systems for transfocators (one for ID03, 2 for ID14 and 3 for ID18). The 6 units will be similar in design but some dimensions / stroke values may slightly vary. Main specifications are the following: - Space available: 790 x 590 x 300 mm3 - Weight to carry: 400 kg - Motion: the translation and rotation of two axis (Ty, Tz, Ry, Rz) - Strokes: translation from 10 to 50 mm / rotation of 10 mrad / strokes are cumulative - Minimum Incremental Motion: translation down to 1 µm / rotation down to 1 µrad - Due to ESRF constrains, the design should be the most rigid as possible, to achieve > 30 Hz of natural frequency (ideally 60 Hz). The tenderer should have and prove competencies in: - motion equipment design; - design with high stability (proof by calculation e.g. Finite Element Analysis) - precision assembly; - precision guidance (rails+motorisation); - precision machining; - metrology (precision measurement).
