The filter shall be able to handle a flow of 2,85 kg/s helium @ 9 bar(a). Maximum allowed pressure drop for new and clean filter is 5 kPa at 2,85 kg/s helium flow @ 9 bar(a) and a temperature of 40 °C. This allowed pressure drop is between the inlet flange and the outlet flange. The filter shall have 100% efficiency for particles down do 5 μm at 2,85 kg/s. Design pressure: 13 bar(a) Operation pressure: ~10-11 bar(a) Design temperature 300 °C Operation temperature: ~250 °C All pressure retaining materials shall be of stainless steel, minimum quality EN-1.4404. Internal parts shall to the extent possible be of stainless steel as well, minimum quality EN-1.4301. Viton, PTFE, Teflon, Delrin and similar material is not allowed either internally or externally for the filter. The filter elements shall be metallic, either sintered or metal weave. Fabric, cloth or plastic is not allowed. The flanges on the filter that the process pipes connect on shall be EVAC ISO-CeFix NW 250, 32.250005.531.325. Nothing else is accepted to ensure compatibility with the pipe connections. Blind flanges, to be installed once the filter has been in use shall be included in the delivery, including the clamping chain. The inside of the vessel shall be laid out so all the helium needs to pass filters before existing the filter, no leak-through is allowed. Pressure test of the vessel shall be performed with gas, taking into account the design temperature. No water is allowed due to the corrosion risk as well as the problems that can be caused in the system even with very small amounts of water.
